200%, 300% and 400% Casino Deposit Bonus

200 percentThe benefit of a 200%+ deposit bonus for online casinos is you can obviously get a higher proportion of promo funds to play with.  This makes them more attractive to players who want to try out new sites or new games as you receive more bonus funds to play with from your deposit compared with a 100% bonus.

While these bonuses are obviously bigger percentage wise they are often restricted to lower initial deposit/stakes compared with 100% deals.  They generally carry more restrictions on the games that will qualify as well as higher wagering requirements and other terms, such as maximum win amounts.

Therefore the value of a higher percentage bonus depends how you play and what you want to use the bonus for (i.e. to win or just to try the site out).  If you choose a 200%+ offers you might as well go for the ones with the best terms and so we have a selection of these promotions below that represent some of the better deals in this category.  We have a separate page for 500%+ bonus offers.

Pros and Cons Of A 200%+ Bonus

300 percentThe biggest pro of 200%+ offers is for every £10 deposited you get a bigger percentage match of promotions funds, giving you more funds to play with for the initial outlay.

These offers tend to have lower deposit restrictions compared to 100% bonuses.  For example, it is common to see 100% bonuses up to £300-£500 (giving a £300-£500 bonus) but is rare to get a 200%+ bonus on much more than a £100 deposit (giving £200 bonus).  They also generally are more restricted on the games you can use the promo funds on (often limited to slots only) and generally have a higher wagering requirement (WR).

Offers over 200% generally come with maximum conversion conditions less prevalent with lower percentage offers, such as max winnings £500.  Maximum bet amounts per hand/spin and shorter expiry times are also more prevalent for these offers.

If your main aim is to get a bonus in order to try a different casino or to try out a particular game then bigger % matched deals are recommended as you need to spend less of your own money to try them out.  This after-all is ultimately why casinos award bonuses to players, not for you to win but to give the site a go without risking too much of your own money.

If, however, your main aim is to win from a bonus then you could be better with a 100% match as the terms are often more friendly, can be used on more games and have longer expiration (usually).

Finding The Best 200-400% Deposit Deals

400 percentThe best deal for one person isn’t necessarily the best for another and so what is better is a relative term and depends how much you want to deposit and what you want to get for it.  Still, there are some common terms that are universal for all bonuses that you want to be aware of.

You should always read the significant terms of an offer before claiming it, these are displayed under all of the offers on this site.  When you click an promotion it will take you to a page that contains the longer full terms and it also advisable to read through these so you understand the offer you are taking.  The major terms to look out for are:

  • What is the minimum and maximum deposit match amount, you should choose an offer that matches the deposit amount you want to make, do not ever feel forced to deposit more than you want to claim a deal.
  • How long do you have from registration to claim the offer and once claimed how long is it valid for?  No point taking a bonus that expires in 3 days if you don’t have time to use it in that period.  Again, find an offer that suits how you play and don’t force yourself to bet just to meet an expiry date.
  • What are the wagering requirements?  Generally a lower WR is better than a higher WR, be careful with reading these as some state the WR for the bonus amount alone, others state it as deposit + bonus.  The second way of doing it looks better, e.g 30x bonus WR for a 200% offer is the same as saying 20x deposit + bonus, in reality they are the same thing.
  • What games will contribute to the WR?  The higher the % bonus the more game restriction there are in general.  You can assume most slots will count 100% but most table games or certain bets within table games are often restricted or count a low lower towards the rollover.  If you want to use a bonus on table or live games you will need to be more selective in what you choose.
  • Maximum conversion (i.e. the amount you can withdraw in cash from a bonus once meeting the WR) is more commonly restricted for 200%+ offers (e.g £500).  Maximum bet limits per spin/hand that will contribute to the WR are also more common (e.g. £5).
  • If there is a promotional code required to claim an offer check whether this needs to be entered at the registration or first deposit stage.  Not entering a correct code can mean you do not get a bonus – although in many cases if you get in touch with customer services they will still award the bonus as ultimately it is an incentive and they want you to use the site.
  • You will need to verify who you are before you can deposit and play.  This can take several days on occasion and requires ID and proof of address (plus other things depending on the operator).  Bear this in mind as you may not be able to claim a bonus the day you sign up.  Generally bigger brands have a quicker turn around in this regard.
  • It is common that deposits using certain payment methods are not eligible for the bonus.  This generally includes eWallets (.e.g Skrill, Neteller & PayPal) and cash vouchers such as PaySafeCard.  If you plan to deposit by any other method than a debit card it is recommended you check if this will allow you to claim an offer before depositing.
  • If two or more sites are operated by the same company it is possible you will only be able to claim a bonus with one of them.  This is common for white labels, such as those run by Nektan or Progress Play.  If this is the case check in the longer form terms and pick the site in that network that suits you best before claiming.
